Subject:  I was playin' mickey...
Message:  whilst cleaning the taxi, just minding my own business,I had all the doors of the Taxi open, and Mickey singing away on 'A Long Road Home' Anyway as I was saying minding my own business when this female voice came from behind me "excuse me" she said "I couldn't help but listen to your music, that is wonderful, who is it?"

Well the poor woman, that was it,I turned around and the words just flowed from my mouth.I told her about Mickey Newbury and after a few minutes, she just cocked her head to one side and just gave me a funny look........so I calmed down, and she said "he really does have a wonderful voice,I wish I could get a copy of that CD"

I said "wait right here" and raced up the steps to return promptly with a copy of 'A Long Road Home' "Here, you can have a copy" I said.
"oh no" she said "I couldn't,let me give you something for it"
"No,please" I said,"It's yours"
"Oh thankyou very much" she said,"I know my husband will really love this"

I proceeded to tell her about Mick's website and the Front Porch, when she politely excused herself.
I went back to cleaning the Taxi with Mickey singing his heart out, when she returned with a bottle of wine and said,"please take this as a 'thankyou'"

Well,what could I say.......

'maybe the sun won't shine'
'maybe the stars won't mind'
'for every dream I dream is sure to not come true'
'cause baby,????????????
