Rocker supreme Del Shannon (Runaway, Hats Off To Larry, Little Town Flirt) covered Mick’s She Even Woke Me Up To Say Goodbye. The recording is available in a just issued, very expensive 8-CD boxset, titled “Home And Away” on the Bear Family label (BCD15925).

“The Reggae Country Collection” has recently been released with Bahama-mama renditions of Loving Her Was Easier, Tennessee Waltz, End of the World, Stand By Your Man and several others. Mick’s Funny Familiar Forgotten Feelings is performed by renowned reggae artist Pat Kelly (on Castle Pulse CD # 5016073771827).

Les Reed, O.B.E., recorded An American Trilogy on the 70’s Polydor LP, “Rhapsody.” Mr. Reed is the composer of many fine songs, including monster hits for Tom Jones (It’s Not Unusual and Delilah). He also wrote Kind of a Hush for Herman’s Hermits and arranged all the Dave Clark 5 hits.
