Subject:  Politics
Message:  As one who has broken a rule, that Mickey himself set up, and talked... no not talked but erupted.... about politics, on the board,I say lets stop it now. I’ll be the first to own up to it and say that I made a fool out of myself and hurt and distanced myself from people that I have come to love. There were a few of us that emailed constantly and I asked that my name be removed from the list. I miss them terribly. I saw a tv show the other night about family and friends that let politics destroy their love and friendships for one another. It ended kind of happy but there were words exchanged that I’m sure had permanent scars. I’m sure most have heard the story about a nail hammered in wood. The nail can be removed but it still leaves a permanent hole.

I’m willing to bet that no matter who is the next president the good old United States of America will keep standing. I’m also sure that no matter who is president there will be disagreements on how certain issues are handled. If you feel you must express your feelings to others on this matter do it by email or phone.
I don’t know for sure but I’ll bet the Newbury family wishes it wouldn’t happen but are being too nice to ask for it to stop.

My final gesture on the subject is that I would like to apologize to Doug for attacking his post without knowing the full reason behind him writing it. I accused him of being political when, after him explaining it to me by email, it really wasn’t. (I want you to know that apologizing to a foreign song jockey is not an easy thing for me to do.)

I love you guys and the reason that we’re all here in the first place.
