| Message: | On the 10th of March, it will be one year since my surgery. Having finished my chemotherapy in October / November last year, I had my first hospital visit in many weeks on Monday. I am now in the monitoring stage of the process: I'll have CT Scans and Endoscopies during the next four years to check the disease doesn't return. Some of the chemo side effects persist: the skin on my hands cracks very easily, my feet and gums continue to blister and ulcer, my sense of taste is sometimes dulled. Worst by far is the extreme, debilitating tiredness that often renders me useless. I am better than I was: there's still a way to go; the shock of it all continues to make me a bit depressed at times. Thanks again to all the porchers. |
