| Message: | It is impossible, I mean, literally impossible, to narrow it down to, one moment, one connection, what song or line. To do so, would limit Mickey's songwriting talents, to one moment, one connection, song or line. I am sure, that there are many of us who have particular favorite songs, and that is as it should be. Let me put it another way: If you read the lyrics of all of Mickey's songs, I am sure you will find in every song, a moment, a connection, a line that means something to you. Not only are the lyrics of his songs, that resonate poetically to the listener, we are blessed to hear these poetic words sung by a simple man with a wonderful gift. 'one moment' 'one connection' 'one song or line?' I dare not define M Newbury to just one. Mickey loved to sing. That was his gift to all those who would care to take the TIME, just to LISTEN. |
