Subject: | Every once in a while, you'll hear a song... |
Message: | Anybody here ever hear or find themselves singing a song, and thought, "Man, I wish Mickey had recorded that." There have been several come to me over the years. Right now the ones that I'm thinking about would be 1) Come Ye Disconsolate - a beautiful, timeless hymn from yesteryear. 2) There's A Light At the End of the Darkness- Larry Gatlin's great song from the early 70s. 3) Bridge Over Troubled Water - Paul Simon's classic, also from the early 70s. I would have loved to have heard MN sing these, as only he could. Maybe someday I will. Meanwhile, any of you on the Porch ever find yourself wishing Mickey had recorded a particular song, especially one that meant a lot to you? If so, what would that song be? |
