*Subject:*	"American Trilogy" at hospice...
*Message:*	I was talking to a man who came to the hospice to see my Dad today. He told me he was just getting back into playing the guitar and that a friend of his wanted to fly him to Arizona to play at some events for his election campaign. The friend is running for a senatorial seat in Arizona. I asked him what kind of music he was going to play and he started to explain to me about "The American Triology" that Elvis used in his shows. My mouth dropped open and I asked him if he knew who Mickey Newbury was. He didn't. I told him the whole story of the way Mickey arranged the trilogy on the spot, as I remembered Mickey telling me the story. I pulled up a video of YouTube of Mickey singing the Trilogy, accompanied by Marie Rhines. He was very impressed by my story and Mickey's performance. It felt like a magical moment that I could share this information with someone I'd just met at my Dad's bedside.
