Message:  it used to be. That's where I ended it tonight as I have spent a few hours, in the past, with songs and videos of Mickey and friends. I had forgotten just how great Jonmark is. On Jonmarks site I saw a picture of two old farts. One with a beard and a head of hair. The other with no hair, no beard, and no teeth. I wondered how two guys like that still occupy a place in my heart, filed under, deeply loved and missed. A picture of Leah sitting on an open ledge that separated the bed and the area where all the song writers were singing, one at a time in room 155. Well not everyone. One was sitting in a chair by the wall with a sh*t eating grin on his face. But looked content. I could go on all night about my roller coaster ride down memory lane but, it's past this old dudes bed time.

While roaming through old stuff I found this.
Every one that has been here for a while has seen this. I wrote it for Laura Shaynes 16th birthday.

Just for the heck of it....

The Sailor’s not here, he’s gone out to sea.
Yet somehow I feel, his eyes are on me.
I survey the sky, the stars are so bright.
Does he see the same stars as I see tonight?

Just a short while, since he went away.
“Yesterday ” is dancing like it was “Today”.
I remember his hug when my world was all wrong.
I still hear the magic he weaved in a song.

The day is so special, I wish he were here.
I blow out the candle then I shed a tear.
My mind sees his face and his cute dimpled chin.
I hold to my faith, that I’ll see him again.

Yes, the Sailors not here, he’s gone out to sea.
Yet somehow I’m sure, his eyes are on me.
