Message: | Tonight famous and much rewarded Dutch bluessinger Harry Muskee passed away at the age of 70. He was a friend since 1965 and I feel very sad. Today, with another friend, we went to look after a fieldstone he wanted on his grave, not knowing it would be so soon. His death is all over the news channels and social media. In my hometown there already was his statue, and a small museum and Bluesfestival where last June, again I met Tom Russel. The 10 o'clock news showed part of a documentary in black-and-white filmed in 1965, where he and me on moped wave at each other: a last goodbye...It is a sad day indeed. |
