Here are the lyrics. Jonmark is one talented man as so many of us have discovered. Enjoy.

I met him in Nashville...he was working at his trade

A few weeks back I saw him... the poet looked his age
The students all fell silent as the teacher took the stage
And I swore I almost saw her as he sang of Geneveve
And I came to hear the music... I came to face the music
I came to love the music... when I heard Newbury sing
