Subject: | Gloam |
Message: | I love Mickey's use of the word "Gloam". "With a voice as pure and sweet as heather in the gloam" Gloam is a visual image of a time after dusk. Pure and sweet heather then is an aroma remembering the day. Today at 3:14 A.M. is the 57th anniversary of my mother's birth to me. It will be her last. I celebrate it solitude, playing guitar. My song of choice, "Three Bells for Stephen" knowing this is my mother's "gloam", my Momma Lou, who cries, and smiles, whenever she hears Newbury sing. |
