Subject:  Login Problems on Back Porch
Message:  Let me see if I can explain what might be the answer to those of you experiencing login problems on the Back Porch. Both chat pages (Porches) exist on the same website and domains ...mickeynewbury.com or mickeynewberry.com. In order for either Porch to show you what posts you have already read and which are new, the website places a "cookie" on your computer, webtv address, etc. In this way when you leave and come back in, it "reads" your address based on the last time you visited and shows you either by being white or gray on the Front Porch, or changing the color of the folder on the Back Porch. Because you attempt to go from one Porch to the other without having left the domain the "cookie" doesn't recognize you as being logged in since it already used that "cookie" on the Front Porch. I just experienced the same thing. I posted on the Back Porch, then went directly to the Front Porch via the "Home" link at the top of the page. When I returned to the Back Porch via the lamp icon, I was no longer "logged in". I closed out Internet Explorer, then clicked on it to bring me to my Home Page (in my case MSN) and then clicked on my mickeynewberry.com/board link which appears in my last visited sites address bar at the top, I was back in and logged on. I did not log out but because I had gone from one Porch to the other without going back out it was not recognizing me on the Back Porch. Simply put, if you have problems, don't go from the Front Porch to the Back Porch by way of the parlor or kitchen. Go out the front door, around the house and down the driveway, say hello the neighbors as they pass by. Then start fresh from when you first turn on your computer, and come back to the Back Porch (without going to the Front Porch, now remember). You should be able to not have to login. Try it and see if this works.
