Subject:  MAMIE'S NEW YEAR WISH
Message:  Mamie’s New Year Wish

Some people wish for prosperity, health, etc. But Mamie has a different wish.

When you think of Mamie some of the things that might come to your mind are words like,

strength, love, courage, compassion, intensity, persistent, lasting. etc. I could go on and on

and so could you but let’s not try and make this post where everyone adds their special

description.

But how about words like : Human, fragile, vulnerable, mortal, lonely.
Sometimes I think we, unintentionally, put more expectations on her shoulders than we would others.
Granted she has been different things to each of us and she loves and treasures us all equally. To me she, through all the years, she has been a best friend and like a second mother to me. And no matter how much time passes, that will never change.
But time marches on for all of us and it does the same for our beloved Mamie.

The main point in all of this is to say that Mamie wants a room mate. She’s 89 with heart problems and doesn’t feel as secure, as she has been all her life..

Oh, don’t think she’s still not a ball of fire. She’s every bit that. But Mamie is a person that likes to be active and have friends and loved ones around.

Sure, she lives next door to Brenda and Jerry but she doesn’t want to have to be calling on them all the time.

Another word for Mamie, “stubborn”, Jerry, Brenda, and I have suggested she get one of those things that you wear around your neck, like a dog, and be able to push the button if she gets in an emergency situation and needs some help. Anyway, by the time an ambulance found her house she’s be another year older. ( OH DEAR GOD, I USED THE WORD , O-L-D and she’s going to kick my butt! ). Besides, you can’t sit on the balcony and have a conversation with a EMS medallion.

So to get serious for a minute. let me repeat myself. MAMIE WANT’S A ROOMMATE! Not someone to take care of her but just someone for companionship.
And if you have any ideas about anyone that you know that is looking for a roommate also, call Jerry Newbury at 1-281-689-5968.
