Message: | Maybe Doug the DJ can help and maybe Gerry went the same CD Vancouver way. It was a CD of all female singers, most of which I didn't know. I recognized a few including Kathy Matea, but there was a cut of Pancho and Lefty that was absolutely gorgeous and I have no clue who it was. The other cut was a fine arrangement of a song I've never heard anyone do that starts out, "Blackbird shivers on the old clothes-line, where ought to be hangin' my sheets.". The tag line is "Here he comes runnin', here he comes runnin', here he comes runnin' on me." the instrumental is in an open D tuning capoed up one fret. Great song and a recognizable voice, but I can't find it anywhere. Sound familiar to anyone? |
