| Message: | Finally; I am happy to announce the release of a new album with 12 songs in Drents language is set on March 8th. It will be a package with the first lp in Drents also on cd now; altogether some 24 songs! The title; Hondsrug Sessies (Dogridge Sessions ;)) named after the area nearby which beares that name where the recordings took place. Instruments include piano, American Pipe Organ, accordeon, acoustic 6 and 12 string(and one electric)guitars, bass, percussion, mandoline, 5-string banjo, steelguitar and violin. One song has a symphonic string arrangement added. Three songs are versions of San Diego Serenade (Tom Waits), Going Home (Jimmy Lafave) and Man upan klippan (Swedisch) Ulf Lundell) Also another seven songs will be added to the download shop at my website, including two covers by Townes van Zandt in Drents language and two video's; 'Genog is genog' and a newly recorded songs specialy written for tv Drenthe's 20th Anniversary 'Zet de radio an'. Its been a very busy yet fruitfull episode in my life, these last 12 months. Although I faced the loss of three dear friends and my mom, I feel very grateful for all the energy, support and love I received these days. Thank you all, who stood with me thru some rough times. This ride goes on and the highway never ends... |
