Message: | Bill and Egbert, you do the porch proud. Landri, my story is a lot like Egbert's. Coming down from Canada to my first Gathering, I met Bud on my first full day in Austin. We hung out in room 155 a while, with a few other characters. Bud was part of why my stomach was sore later, from laughing. But I noticed something else, too. He was not afraid to speak his mind, even when he might know others may have a differing view. He earned my respect that way. Bud was larger than life in more ways than one, and he gave one the feeling that suspenders were invented especially for him. I hope that your sadness will pass, Landri, and that your life will find a way of carrying Bud's spirit forward. He'd like that, to know his love lived on. |
