He was much more than a "Radio Voice". His talent for writing was just starting to surface after he retired...he could sing too, but never would alone...very few on the Porch really knew the depth of the man, his quick wit, his wonderful sense of humor...and his love for his lady, Lana.
He and Jonmark worked up a special song for her birthday...he was proud to share that with me, and I was touched that he did.
In the Bay area he was the voice that woke you up and helped you wind your way through traffic and cable cars every day.
Those of us who have Rocked on this Porch for years should be honored that he shared his talent and love with us...that made us special and only now do we understand just how special Ron was...and is.
