Message:  What I want to know is why folks in the north say BRING where southerners say TAKE? For example, when a Vermont-reared friend of mine and I left school for the day I would TAKE things home to work on and she would BRING things home to work on. She also took the "r" that my mother left out of cawn and mawning and placed it firmly in lawr and Cuber.

And Craig, that dropping the double L from words must extend all the way up to TN, 'cause the scoo bus stops right down the road from us and one of my little nieces calls me Aunt Saa..e!
