Christmas is the time for sitting around and telling old stories.

We were just sitting drinking brandy and listening to Pavarotti singing "One Fine Day" from Madame Butterfly when Mum and Dad started reminiscing. My mother used to sing with a band during the war when she was just 14 years old. In the intervals she usually got requests to sing opera....usually One Fine Day.
They got married in 1946 (both in army uniform) and after the wedding they were in the pub and a man came up to my Dad and asked him if his new wife would sing One Fine Day.....my Dad said "can she sing it then??"....he`d no idea because he had only met my Mum six weeks before.
She DID sing....and bought the house(pub) down!

Merry Christmas.
