Message:  To tell the truth, we have been lucky in that we haven't beee inavaded before. The web site is an open one and you are better off to ignore these clowns. That's all they are.

Mickey Newbury is a phenominon in that his music moves us all to wonder simply because we can't explain it. It does what it does. To repeat myself(a lot, lately, to one who's aging), it sends us to Austin and it sends people who are from other contries.

Think about it. For these people, it's a hardship. The cost of getting to Austin is expensive. One man touched us so that, as Chris Fraser said, it produced a CD. There are other CD's which simply would not have happened without Mickey Newbury. Doug writes whatever he feels and we are the richer for it.

The Reverend Hank is unfettered here. He writes of his horror and his happiness and he writes so well.

We all sit down at the computer and we pour out our hearts here. If Mickey were still alive, there would be no difference. What you may not realize is that WE made him feel that we appreciated what he did.

In talking to the people who attended the Frank Brown Festival, there were those there for at least two nights who really "got" what Mickey was trying to say.

I say this not to glorify Mickey. His greatest gift was that he was just a good human being...who knew how to write.

Forgive me if I sound a little rah-rah here.

Believe me, these intruders are not worth yout trouble.
