Message: | OK...I spoke with an attorney who used to practice in California. If this happened during World War II or the Korean War...and if the Merchant Marine was working as an agent of the Government, the case could have been considered a Federal case, therefore tried in Federal Court. Result...a Grey Rock Federal Prison. In addition, the State of California would have been happy for the Feds to accept the expense of the trial and housing the convicted individual. |
