|Message:||I'm going to post this early, as tomorrow is Mickey's birth date, and I wanted to give some of you a chance to honor him with your recollections and stories about him.
I looked for what he had written in his profile on the old board, but it is one thing I didn't keep. It said something about his occupation being Golf, and then he ended it with "oh yeah, I sometimes write a song or two". If anyone has kept that post....please share it with us.
I did find this: It is from Phil Weedon, in England. He posted another verse to Mickey's A Father's Prayer, after Mickey shared his words on the front porch.
Bless this man with gift to see
Who sings of all our memory
The pain, the grief, the joy, the sorrow,
He knows the sum or our tomorrow.
For when a year, a decade's gone
He has writ it all in song
Bless this man- for the song is all that matters....
