Every once in a while some lyrics to a popular "oldie or newbie" song catch my attention. I will bring them up (along with 'did you catch that' when it comes to a popular not-so-ole movie.

Here's one: In Alabama's "Sweet Home Alabama" they say:

In Birmingham we love the Governor
We all did what we could do.
Now Watergate does not bother us,
Does your conscience bother you?

Does anyone have something to add that might bring meaning to this?

The Sheriff,

Inquiring minds knead da dough, y'know! cuz ... 'the Future's Not' ...
