They ain't got no fried pies in Austin or Houston or anywhere else in the world that compare with Gainesville's. If y'all have it somewhere else next year, have fun! I'll just go back to Gainesville and eat fried pies by myself for three days!  |

From what I`ve heard and read,you all had a marvellous time. So sorry I couldn`t be there.
I have only one question....does it always have to be in June? If it were to take place a month later then I wouldn`t have to come alone....and I`d have someone to hold my hand on the plane,lol. |

Jackie it's sounding like Gathering X will be held In July next year. If so, my choice of dates would begin Thurs. July 8th and on.I'm not sure those dates would be convenient for all, some of our teachers may be part of summer school programs.....Wherever it is and whatever it takes I will be there in 2010.

I would welcome a later date AND Gainesville...just my 2¢ worth.
Anytime after the 4th would be a welcome change (for me). There are others I know that could make then as well.

Me too....June 25 and 26 is my 'half century class reunion and I don't wish to make a quick trip to Texas or make a decision. I want to attend both...oh selfish me

Hi All!
What to say about a later Gathering week next year.
OK for me, BUT afraid the flight ticket is more expensive in July for people coming in from other country`s!
Our summer holiday in Denmark start out late June I think.
School closed around 1th July.

Erik, that may be true. I start checking airfare early - i.e. got my reservation in October last year for June 2009 travel. Air fare is expensive from Alaska as there is no break to fly into Seattle. I paid $800.00 once for a nonstop flight to DFW. When 2010 dates are set in stone, I will start checking once again.
