| Message: | Revised from 6/6/01 STONES So many stones in so many places. Cold the touch of these stones without faces. Some old and weathered some fresh dug and new. Some where in time one’s waiting for you. Some of them cared for some dead and alone. Some are just waiting for dates to be shown. All different shapes and all different sizes. They capture the hope of the sun as it rises. We’re all worth the same while under this sod. We hope that in life we chose the right God. Rain lightly falling from clouds and from me. Emotions swell up from stones that I see. There’s one that had long life one died too soon. Both of them touched the same sun, stars, and moon. There’s one with flowers, a tissue close by. Clouds now are breaking I see some blue sky. I stand in the spot that one day is my fate Could use some more shade but it’s nothing I hate. My mind sees a stone, don’t know how it reads. Guess it depends... how I plant my seeds. Still, it don’t matter what others might say. Let God be the judge let Him have His way. Sun now is shining in heaven and earth. God must have given someone a “new birth” So many stones in this, big, field outside. But one day the Lord will cast them aside. He’ll call all his saints to His holy, throne. Where fields are all green and not one single stone. |
