| Message: | Hello dear friends, AFTER 56 DAYS IN ICU RENE HAS BEEN MOVED TO THE FLOOR !!!!!!! THANK YOU GOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are now in room 113 @ Kindred Hospital in Mansfield. It's amazing the difference that small move has made. Rene is awake, alert and fiesty! She did have a positive culture on Friday so they delayed removing the trach. Preliminary results show no growth in first 24 hrs. If that holds up on the 72 hr report the trach will come out! The news on the drain in the pancreas is not quite as good. We thought the drainage had virtually stopped. In reality the drain had clogged. When the surgeon opened it up there was, evidently, a lot of accumulated fluid. Word now is she will have the drain for an undetermined length of time. We will be able to go home with in-home wound care so it could be worse. There has been no change to the recovery plan for her pancreas. Still trying to stay out of God's way so He can do his thing. Our circumstances are such that we can have company now.
